Everywhere I read about adjusting the clutch, the first thing to do is to move the clutch lever a certain distance from the starter. I have kick only, so where should the lever be, in relation to what?
Can anyone help?
That lever is attached to a vertical rod (I'm serious). The rod to a pair of fingers. Then
Fingers-bearing-clutch push rod-adjuster screw.
You want a li'l bit of free play between those fingers and the inside of the kicker cover.
Adjust this with the screw in the clutch pressure plate
I've seen the kicker cover cracked from the inside if over adjusted. Don't do that!
