Bike with odd VIN, custom build VIN?

Hello, Im looking at a 2001 FXSTS, Softail Springer. It has a clean Indiana title that states its a Harley Springer but the VIN is clearly no HD VIN. Its sort of a odd mix bike so Im wondering if the bike has a aftermarket frame?

The VIN starts with a 4K7S XXXXXXXX

It looks like a real springer except the motor says its a 2002 FXST engine (all gray) and has a different rear fender.

The guy was willed the bike and doesnt know much about it, seems like a real honest guy.

Ill try and get a couple photos up.

Pretty sure a 4k7 vin is a Kraft tech. Give them a call and they can tell you for sure. And if it is they can give you all the info on it.

Wow, thanks Cmfnj, your exactly right!
I called them and they said it was a replacement frame for a 2001 Softail.
They will send me additional info tomorrow on specs, etc.

      Appreciate the response!
