    Default Removing rear signals

    Is there a secret to getting these things off? Trying to remove signals on my 02 Sportster, removed the nut in the fender. Now nothing will happen can't get the damn thing off

    Mine is a 2015 but If it's anything like mine, you need to take the light bucket off the mount then it'll all come apart, the bucket is threaded and the mount slides off giving access

    I can't get the lights off just not the posts.

    Again he ask, is there a hidden nut behind the strut????? I bet there is.... Try taking the strut off....

    Yeah you gotta remove the strut cover and there's another nut/or place to stick a wrench, can't remember exactly but once the fender is loose and the strut cover gone you should be able to see it

    I will. I was amazed at the small amount of info out there regarding removing these things. Ill rip the strut off tonight.

    pop the lens
    remove bulb
    pry out reflector
    might have to temp remove fender strut

    The secret was a hacksaw and ditching the ugly chrome fender strut covers

    LOL well DAMN the factory must have welded them on since you couldn't unbolt them...I wonder why they did that on your bike???.. Glad you finally got them off.....

    I guess thats why none of the exploded diagrams made sense. It felt so damn good to throw those things across the garage.
