Can you tell us what kind of shape is it in ..??
Most of the time the jugs are the first to go South, back in the day Harley did the same thing as what they did with the 883 Sportster's with how they made the jugs...
Here's what they did:
The EL's came first as all know in 1936, they made the cylinder wall super thick, can bore those puppies way past .100" and still have wall thickness...
In 1941 the Big Brother to the EL came about... The FL's was born... Harley used the same mold to cast the jugs from as the EL's.
They made them a bit longer and bored them out to 3-7/16", but still from the same casting that the EL's used..
This in turn made oversizes for the FL jugs super thin if much bores over .050" was used...
Owners that did over-bores soon found out that the jugs would fail at the larger bore sizes...
What they did was to use Panhead jugs in place of the Kunck's... A little work was done in order to run the heavier Pan jugs..
The height was a bit diff. plates was made up to attain the same height of the Knuck jugs and one bolt hole was plugged and relocated in the heads ...

It has Pan jugs but I will get repops anyway...
Heads are getting done.....rockers are good....
Lower end was rebuilt years ago and then just sat...it's coming apart too
I run my shit hard so this will get a thorough going over and anything that remotely needs replacement will be replaced
I have a generator for it a transmission a timer and a Linkert M74b which may or may not be the best carb for this thoughts?
This ain't gonna be no Dave tune pretty bike don't go over 40 be careful I'm going to run the shit out of this thing.Comment

The heads will need to go back to the Knuck bolt pattern to be able to run the Knuck jugs..
That carb will be fine to run...
If you allow me to make a few suggestions:
1) Use a S&S oil pump...
2) A small stroker will make it run pretty snappy .... Get rid of the Oem heavy wheels and go to a 4-1/2" stroke ... will only need the wheels and the stroker pistons to get 84 cubies ... All other parts will be a plug & play gig..
3) Leineweber make a sweet cam for stroked Knucks... Number 2 grind Designed for stroker engines. Slight modifications required to the engine for installation.
4) Kibblewhite oversize intake valves would go hand in hand with the Leineweber #2 cam..
They are .090" larger than Oem...
I could go on, but these few mods are the foundation to a really strong running engine...Take my 45 and outrun em all ..Comment

I grenaded my Panhead doing 75/80 on the highway for a long time I like back roads but I also like to go tank to tank pretty fast on the highway's occasionally so even if I show the knuckle some mercy I still want to run 60 to 70 on the highway sometimes and if it's built right it shouldn't be a problem riiiight?Comment
