Hey everyone, just got myself a 1980 FXEF off craigslist, my ultimate plan is to have a swingarm, but still very traditional chopper .. I'm just about to jump into this project and strip the bike down, I'm sure I'll be relying heavily on yalls help as i'm a very amature wrencher I would appreciate any ideas or thoughts! thanks dudes!

That bike is too nice to chop up. Get a real turd like an iron head I mean Sportster and ruin that thing.
