Time to cut the frame.
Sorry, Pics of the cutting disappeared.
Lining up the hardtail
Bolted the engine back in. With the TC hardtail, You use the engine as the frame jig.
Slapped a temporary front end on to see what it looked like.
Mounted the tire. Realized after I had the tire on that I had it backwards on the wheel. Dismounted it, remounted it and pinched the tube in the process.
At this stage everything is in mock up because I don't have a good enough welder.
I'll be stripping it back down next week to take to a buddy's shop to TIG the frame and all the mounts. -

Side view with the apes
Tacked on the seat pins
This is the tail light I'll be using. It's actually a side marker light from a 40" trailer.
I'll be rewiring it with this setup. It's a dual brightness LED in an off the shelf socket.
This will be the last post for this week. I start a 6 day run at work tomorrow. More next weekend.Comment

Spent a very cathartic evening listening to good old rock and making metal shine. Doing everything by hand.
Not bad considering these forks had been rattle canned flat black.
One down one to go.
The Frame goes off Monday for welding. Spending the time cleaning up parts that I'm selling to fund the build.
Got a notice from my divorce lawyer that I owed another $1,000. So much for the Springer front end this week.
