    Default need assistance identifying this frame..

    Finally getting some traction on a hardtail I bought severeal years ago. The PO said it was an aftermarket frame. Would appreciate some assistance as to who the manufacturer is ....

    really hard to tell from the pictures you provided... but looks like a Santee BT replica frame. I don't think santee is around anymore, I remember reading about them being absorbed by paughco... anyway here is a Santee frame that I had at one point in time. it had a crossover tube for mechanical brake but they were made without.

    Yours sure looks like mine .... trans is out, should have the engine out w/in an hour...will post some more pics.

    Here's a few with the engine and trans out... should I weld in the piece the PO cut out? I'm going to recycle the fat bob tanks, so it won't be visible...just wondering from a structural integrity standpoint..
