What is with all of the MC hate on this site?

I can't help but notice that most people here have a pretty negative view of bike clubs. Seems like its looked down on, and sneered at.
Kind of funny considering that most of the custom culture comes from club life. Is it just me or is there more to it?

MCs are no longer about the custom scene. It is an ancient offshoot of their culture and most of the people who built the early chops are either very old or dead.

There is no point in discussing MCs here because they are irrelevant to the rest of motorcycling (by wise choice on their part) and their PRIVATE business is their business. Like all human groups, it's a mistake to idealize or condemn them all so I don't.

No reason exists to discuss MC business in the open. No reason exists to discuss it here. Those interested will learn in the traditional, pre-internet way. That helps filter out the posers, wannabes and so forth.

Chopper culture is retro, like antique bike restoration. It was not retro at the beginning. Now chopping is like the hot rod hobby. It's as rebellious as owning an iPhone, but the folk art remains.

Enjoy the folk art and the skilled craftsmen who keep old bikes on the road. This is a chopper forum, not an MC forum.

Can you do us a favor and keep your rantings to your thread? It's the polite thing to do. That way if we don't want to follow your copy and paste gibberish and discuss something else, we know which threads to avoid.
