So I'm home from school for spring break and I'm gonna try and bust some stuff out on the bike. I don't have enough money to finish it right now, but I'm damn close. I need: 6 over 33.4mm tubes, 21in drum front wheel + tire, and some funky pipes.

Today I fit up the gas tank and welded the bungs in:

I kinda grinded the bungs down like an idiot, but whatever nobodys gonna see em and there in

I also realized with the new front end I don't need the ol fork lock on the headtube. so ITS GOTTA GO

Heres the new front end, she needs a little love. But shes gonna do fine.

Also, I know that with the 39mm front ends, when you put longer tubes on you would also make a spacer so that the spring has the same preload and stuff. Is the same method used on the 33.4mm front ends? Might be a dumb question, but better safe than sorry. Thanks!

i have used this technique with pretty good results...

This has to be one of the simplest, most effective how-to's I have come across. I was ready to cut slits in my fender, bend and reweld it when I found this how-to by Raz on the JockeyJournal. Radius your motorcycle rear fender to fit your wheels just right with some scrap 2

killer thread, loving how you're documenting everything man. I'm new to this whole thing - did you change the rake on your frame at all? or did you just extend the fork by 6"? thanks, hopefully i don't sound totally clueless haha. bike looking great though.

Thanks! and the headtube is stock rake, I just bought 6" over fork tubes.

So I decided I don't like how the stock cam cover hides the oil lines and I decided to trim it down.

So I ghetto rigged the motor to lay on its side, I thought it would be easier to pull it off like this.

Hopefully I can trim the Cam cover today, I can only go into my dads shop and work when all the mechanics leave at around 5:00. So until then.

And here is the rear chain cog with some hardware that I threw together.

For what it's worth, I have tried this technique with a fender similar to your and it didn't work so well for me. I ended up doing it the old school way with a metal hammer and shrinking the radius that way, pretty time consuming but it worked. Hopefully that way works for you! Build looks like its coming along nicely too

Thanks Benny, I'm pretty anal about wheel fitment so I think I'm going to ask one of my friends to help me with it.
