Peoples Champ 5 Hot rod knucklehead build
Disclaimer: There will be very few original knuck parts in this build. If that is not your thing you can stop looking now. I'm building with speed as the primary concern.
I picked these heads up last year, and realized it was time to build my dream knucklehead. Heads are dual carb flathead power designed to use a evo style piston
Got some 3 13/16" trock cylinders, and a lienweber cam. I will be using a 4 3/4" inch stroke flywheels for a 108.5" final displacement.

Kick only? 108" is allot of motor for a leg. watch out when she kicks.
Looks like the beast is essentially an EVO with knuckle looking rocker boxes.
I don't have any problem with that at all, especially if She rips, & She probably will.(big time)
nice choice on the cam & ignition.

Lots of similarities to an evo, but heads are still cast iron and rocker ratio is still 1 to 1. My research leads me to believe that these were the same design heads used on the 120" drag knuckle "evil mother"

Yes it's kick only, curious to see how she kicks over.... Lots of overlap in the cam so hopefully not to bad. Hope it doesn't kick back often cause that 4 3/4" stroke will make a nasty kick back.

Got a mock up motor together so I could make my exhaust. Decided it was time to get it off the lift and take some pictures.

Wow! Should be a fun ride! What are you running for a transmission? I can't get a good look on my phone, but it looks like a 5in4?

Did you modify the seat post to get that straight backbone? Looks like some haz in the earlier pics, low on seat post, also backbone is high above rear head. Thanks

I thought that looked familiar. I LOVE the case on the signature series. It looks like an old 6-71 roots type blower. I just put a 6 into 4 in my chop, and I must say they are worth every damn penny.

Seat post was cut, lifted up and then bent down in the upper rear legs until the back bone was straight front to back. Had to add extra material to the seat post and backbone for it all to meet up right.
