brake lines

Hey guys, I'm sorry in advance if this has been answered but i couldn't find it. I saw a picture of a front brake master cylinder with a straight fitting vice a banjo fitting. I'd like to do the same thing but first I would like to hear some opinions. Pro and cons...do I even need a banjo fitting. Thanks gents.

You could use this with a crush washer. Might need to grind off the inverted flare part, but it might work with it attached.
