I wanting him to run these pipes.....

What do ya think .... ???

With the tranny being raised up and the street digger look going on, seems to fit the build real well...

Bill ... Ya got an eye for this, let me know your thoughts...???
Help me out with the choice, will ya... I have Old Timers Disease, and could use a helping hand at times....

      I like those rims jesse.
I know you asked bill but I bet you could weld up some better pipes. not to sure if I like those. maybe high side like that but both head pipes going into one.

        That's a great idea....

I'm going to run that past the owner and see what he thinks about it...

Kinda like the first XLCH had ....

on a side note, when you raise the trans a stock horseshoe tank won't fit. i sectioned one and made it fit but the 8" round tank went in no problem.

^^^ Those pipes do have a cool look to them....
But now that I see them on a bike it kinda looks like they was designed around a cone motor...
Don't look like there would be room to clear a Magneto on a Gen. case....

The bike Bill posted up with the S-pipe is more what I have in mind. (Guessing at this point) .. Perhaps with the rear pipe being of the Shotgun Hi-Pipe....

These might be the look we are after ... ???

If we do use the low front pipe, it will need to be the "S" type pipe..
The Bike is going to be sitting kinda low and will need room for the curves ....
Take my 45 and outrun em all ..

imho straight pipes don't visually "pop" like a muffler of some sort to give it some presense . if i were building it (which i'm not) i think i'd try some pipes like i posted on the genny bike but make the mufflers flattened, open megaphones with perforated heat shields.

                        Agreed ....
Being we are attempting to keep the look of the bike in the 40"s and early 50"s chopper era, the upswept cocktail shaker exhaust just may be the look for this build...

Gotta say I"m still grooven on those X-Cycle Pipes....

Pretty sure a Morris Snap Mag would cause problems...???

Choosing the right pipe for a particularly build in progress is like walking into a Baskin-Robbins .... !!!!

Much Thanks Fellows for your views in the pick for pipes...

Y'all got any more ideas, don't be shy throw em out here...
Kinda a ways away from pipes just yet, but the day will come in a few months from now...

.... It's just like the song I posted above "I don't know what I'm looking for"
