I like it---except---I would rather have the seat mounted down on the frame---I don't like a sprung seat on a bike with suspension.

i could easily put it down, but it's not that bad compared to what harley did a few years ago w/ the rocker.

It's built for inner city hipsters who aren't allowed to lane split. I fucking hate water cooled bikes. And you're right about that seat as well. I'd be very wary sitting on that thing. I'd rather it be mounted to the frame.

Naming it Bobber is the first mistake. Obviously some marketing geek who drives a Prius who caught wind on the internet that bobbers are cool. Reflectors, giant license plate frame, giant air box, modern suspension seat set up. Retarded.

Nothing a nice day, case of beer, tool box and garbage pail wouldn't fix.

The name is fine because it will sell Triumphs, and the look is pure 1950s Triumph. Ya can't legitimately bitch about them copying a 6T, sprung seat location if not spring design included.

The monoshock assembly is also very British and deliberately reminiscent of Vincent though Vincent had two dampers.

Air cooled twins run hot and have poor top end life. It had to get liquid cooling because modern riders don't like doing top end jobs every fall. People forget that the reason you can find so many low mileage old Triumphs in the US is they die very quickly without proper Brit-style constant PREVENTIVE maintenance.

I like old Triumphs but they are junk compared to Hinckley engines. Yamaha RD 350s would destroy them back in the day. They make old Harleys look reliable and are slow, broken grenades by comparison to the new version which also has twice the displacement (making liquid cooling even more necessary).

Let's not sugar coat anything. Antiques are cool but the Meriden twins were so terrible even by contemporary standards they killed Triumph. John Bloor revived the company.

Needs TT pipes, reflector removal, and especially a flange-less fuel tank or at least a black border on the flange itself.

This is the pinnacle of mainstream taking subculture to the point of self mockery. And for that, I give them a standing ovation. It's hilarious. It could only be funnier if they had called it the "poseur".

Yes, like most of it's cruiser counterparts, the bike has potential once you toss all the ugly crap. But 'splain to me dis, why bother buying a "bobber" that needs to be bobbed to be a bobber?
