Just out of curiosity, are there any "before" pics of this beautiful bike?

Z

**EDIT** Nevermind. I found DBBP's website. More Before, During, and After pics than I ever imagined!

They did a nice write-up of that bike in The Horse #80, August 2008. I can scan the pics and post them, some great shots, but maybe the owner has already done this?

What a great bike, must kill the purists and Harley guys, but this is exactly the type of thing the "bobber" scene needs.

Does it really matter, its so custom the only thing left as BMW is the engine and drive shaft. Im sure it looked like all the other stockers out there, one thing, BMW's no matter how jacked they are always look nice at first glance when stock.

My friend showed me a chopper mag from the 70's that has a chop in it that is R/2 powered, pretty damned bitchen. Ill post it once I get the chance to get it scanned.

I can stare at this bike all day, super clean, well thought out, nothing was spared to make it top notch - just great...

Alot of detail. I like how u painted the wheels the same color as the tank. That bike is pretty bad ass.

My son walked by as I was browsing CC. He saw this bike and flipped out. He wanted me to say and I quote "That is the coolest bike I have ever seen. I LOVE that bike." if you knew my son you'd understand that is HUGE compliment (born and bread gear head).

That was Bill from Texas if I remember correctly. His gear got wadded up in the rear wheel and he yard-saled it off the highway north of San Felipe. Got it patched up and finished the whole ride. He was sleeping in our parking lot when we made it back to the shop. Nice guy, neat bike. It was honestly the first time I ever paid attention to a BMW, and I've been interested in them ever since. The bike originally posted in this thread is a mind-blower.

I'm loving Beemers these days. The drive shaft makes it such a smooth bike. Building a R90/6 for the Horse Stampede. Found an old German BMW steel 10 gallon tank, put a 4 gallon auxillary. Custom hardtail frame and some cool twists. Extended the drive shaft and expose a u-joint. I'll post some pics a little later.
