I might steal that idea, or a version of it, at some stage.

It looks like a full can of bad ass was used in the fabrication of this fine machine! Well done!

Thank you very much. I wanted to build a chopper since I first saw one at around age 10. I finally built this one in my late 40's 10 years ago.

Nice, classic, chop! I'm digging the hot rod equipment. I've used some car parts on mine as well, trying to add a little 60's dragster flavor. Great job man, you nailed it!!!

What kind of front wheel is that? I like the hub. Badass!

It's a stock Harley rim. Don't remember the specs other than its a 21-inch made for a disk brake. I got it off ebay years ago....
When I built the bike, it had a D&D springer and spool wheel. Then one day while riding the front axle broke. Thankfully I was in traffic and going slow. Replaced the entire front end with a new Paughco springer and this wheel with a 3/4 axle. One day am going to a Sugar Bear springer and spool wheel.

part of it could be holding it on hills at stop with the foot clutch. takes some getting used to with no front brake.

Not to many hills in South Florida, but yes, it would certainly help.

Looks good! Couple of thoughts though. Have you tried moving that headlight down in front of your springer's springs? Might get it down and out of your field of view a hit. Also, are you riding it on the bent rockers and spokes pictured in the album? If so, that's pretty sketchy

The headlight is not in my field of view and I like where it sits. And that's a big negatory on the bent rockers. I stated on the post above I bought a whole new Paughco front end and another front rim.
