No disrespect if following the rules of the road. We all pay for them.

I blame reliable motorcycles. They eliminated the need to band together for mechanical survival.

I was riding my long fork chopper down Duval Street in Key West when I spotted a bunch of m/c members with their patches from some Latin club. There were about 20 of them and I noticed as I rode past each one of them turned their back to me........ always thought that was kind of odd.

Now next time you know to ride by with your back turned, it'll save all them the effort.

Similar story on i10 going across northwest Florida. Running 90-95 and came up fast on a full patch and prospect running 80-85 and was hesitant to pass. It tripped me out that I dropped back, neither wanting to pass or join them. Pulled off and checked my tie downs and10 minutes later back on the road. 25 minutes later I'm back in the same spot. Hung back and jumped behind an SUVs running 100 and blasted by them and stayed in it. Stopped to get gas another 50 miles down the road. And they pull in a few minutes later as I'm pulling out. No issue. 150 miles down the road I stop to get gas and food and they pull into the the same station 20 minutes behind me as I'm eating. We laughed and talked briefly. Most patches are Good guys but I still like to be respectful and keep my distance. You never know who's a tweaker or looking for trouble. That really goes for anyone.
