Thanks guys! I plan on painting one of my Guild SB-608's with the Paint Huffer flakes when they arrive. I'll definitely post some pics. It's a super rare bass (1 of 116 made) but it had seen a pretty rough life before I got it. It deserves to look as good as it sounds. Planning on doing up my Bandit helmet as well. I'm Psyched!!!

Checking in from NYC,
What's up!! First, I've got to send props to all who are showing work! It's all awesome to see..
I guess essentially I've been custom painting motorcycles my whole life, I have been rediculously lucky to be very consistent with work since the mid-90's and have airbrushed since high school.
Although mainly custom paint motorcycles, I also pinstripe, tattoo, work in leather and make other stuff.
I'm fairly new to this social media mass market but I think it's very cool that we can share our work with the world and be inspired; when I started the only inspiration was fellow writers in NYC.
I'm on IG @wetcoats, if anyone gives a crap. Thanks and keep HUFFIN'...

Seeing all this flake brings back some great memory's for sure. Started spraying Metalflake brand paints when Nixon was in office. A few hotrods, mostly bikes and vettes.
My dad was a master with fiberglass so when the vette crowd found out, we were the the go to place. I remember like yesterday him saying "they made a car out of glass?..who thought that was a good idea"
Early on switched to House of Kolor and stayed with them until 2000ish. Hardly spray anything any more. Love to see the flake in this thread though, just got through with biketoberfest here in daytona and I will go though the pictures but I don't think I seen one flake job
I will dig though some ooold pics to see if I can add to this thread.

That'd be awesome Gary!
I'm dying to lay down some of the Painthuffer flake I won, unfortunately I haven't had the time yet. I'm hoping in the next couple of weeks I'll get to use it, I'll be sure to post pics when it happens.

I finally had a chance to use some flake from the Paint Huffer giveaway. This is their "Brain Freeze" red/silver/blue flake over silver base. I'll be doing some designs over it soon.
Got a little surprise when I took the lining out. ANT FARM!!!!! Keep this in mind when you think you found a "cool vintage helmet" at the swap meet hahaha.
Thanks again Paint Huffer and Lisa!!! I'll keep updating as I use more flake.Last edited by DrFxr; 11-30-2016 at 5:43 PM.
