Looking for high detail custom decals?

So I just finished the paint on my first axed tank. I am wanting to put a highly detailed image on the top of the tank, and not sure if I should try and find someone who is able to do an extremely detailed decal, or look into someone who can do waterslide transfers. Thoughts/suggestions?

You can buy the paper to make waterslide decals for either inkjet or laserjet printers. It's pretty cheap.

I was gonna say the same. Not sure how they hold up to UV and sunlight but it's cheap enough to try. If it fades in a few years, try something else.

I know they hold up in small scale models with clear laquer (maybe enamel, can't remember) sprayed over them. I've never used them in large scale with auto paint.

yes. few coats, youll get a rise from the clear around the decal. wet sand the rise down, more clear
