What jets are you running bro. My little brother has a vn800 with cobra pipes and a cone intake. I'm trying to help him dial it in. Also i have a little experience with carbs. But all I've messed with is dual carb Hondas. His had a jet toward the front of the intake that when it's not even running squirts gas if the throttle is twisted. Is this normal. His plugs read rich but he's running a main jet that should be lean. I'm stumped.

Huh I dont remember the carb settings man i'm sorry it was for a customer. As for your trouble. Why do you say "main jet that should be lean"?

The main jet is factory. And it's got open pipes and a cone filter. I just assume it should be lean.

Is that a stock front wheel? Did you have to get a wider rim for the rear? The stock hubs are 48 spoke and I know that is hard to come by. I am trying to get a 21" spoke rim for my Vulcan 900 and I have not had much luck. I have heard a VN800 wheel will fit the VN900.

Yes it is the stock front wheel. The rear rim and spokes are custom made to fit the hub by Buchanan's

That rear wheel looks really good. Do you think that was any room to go a little bigger? How did the 800 handle the bigger wheel.?

I had to mod the swingarm and make offset sprockets for this width. For a bigger rim I'd say you would need a custom made swingarm and a whole new set of custom sprockets. The bike handles it like a champ.
