Usmc50lx's Shovelhead... my '76
So haven't posted here in a looooong time. Figured I'd throw up some pics of what I've been up to on the old shovelhead. Bought her as a stocker with a few little things changed from my uncle for a song and a dance after my sporty was totaled...added solo seat and a 21" wheel, then slowly started to strip her as I wasn't ready for a bagger just yet. Added airride with onboard compressor and some other things including swapping to a CV and just making it a good daily. Eventually bought new 3.5 gal tanks and a sporty rear fender and planned to ride them bare for awhile til I got the stock tins painted. Well that turned into doing patina paint on the new tins and changing the exhaust to drag pipes. She has evolved into my vision for a semi-cool swingarm chopper and greatest thing is I can bolt all my stock stuff back on no problem as I have kept everything!

DragStews its on air ride, I love it low but also love to ride twisties, so going down the road it sits like it has 13" shocks on it. I just fabbed up covers for the bags to look like original dome top covered shocks.

Looks good!
What air ride setup do you use? I don't care about low but with stock shocks I keep having to untangle my 'roids from the chain.
