Funny this subject just came up. My friend Pete just picked up a non- running Super Vee . Been sitting in a garage for 30 years ( 1988 ). 2nd owner had it for two months and couldn't get it running ( dirtbike guy ). He picked it up on Friday night , got it started yesterday and ran it for a minute. Said it was loud as fuck and sounded like a top fuel bike LOL ! He's very happy at the moment and is going through brakes and hydraulic clutch so, hopefully , by the weekend he can take it for a test ride. He knows the bikes history and bad rep but he always wanted one anyway. Should be interesting. Maybe he'll take her to Cheap Thrills to show her off ! And maybe, just maybe I'll be able to take her for a small putt...interesting, if nothing else.

I remember reading about these in Supercycle magazine.
