Vn800 swingarm widening
Hello everyone, I am planning on installing a 200mm wheel in the back of my vn800, I saw some bikes on the internet with the swap but no one seems to know what it took to end up with that kind of result

I ordered a 17'' rim with spokes and nipple to fit my stock hub so I dont have to mess with the speedo. But I assume I need to widen the swingarm because the tire is 30mm wider each side.
Is the anybody in here who did that kind of mod so that they could teach me a bit of their experience or am I going to be the first?
Thanks!

Did you measure 30mm on both sides of the tire to the existing swingarm? 30mm would probably still fit. Your new rim might be too close to your brake and sprocket though. You just gotta check clearances.
