1980 Yamaha xs650 - bike running with no battery

    Hello

I saw a video not long ago about a Yamaha xs650 running with no battery and I would like to do that to my XS. Can anybody guide me to do that?

    Thanks in advance!

You'll need a PMA kit and a capacitor. You can run without a capacitor but I'd recommend against it.

You'll also be limited to kickstart only

Will i need the stock wire harness? or a much more simple harness. Thanks for the input!

That I cannot answer since I'm eliminating my entire harness on my build and I'm only running the bare minimum (headlight, taillight, and ignition)

xs650.com is your friend for this. There are only a million fucking wiring diagrams for what you want over there.

That is pretty much what I am looking to do but adding turn signals. Do you have a diagram for that?
