Old bike parts ain't readily available at your local HD shops it's a given 6,000 miles on a old bike something gonna break and you will be stuck show will be over this ain't the 60's where Joe Schmo comes and rescues you and has all the bike parts ya need lol
I'm on a list for guys who build mostly race bikes, which means they ship a LOT. One recomended option was Fastenal. They have a "third party logistics service" which will ship goods from any one of their locations to any other. It has to be in a sturdy crate and mounted on a pallet (with no overhang) for insurance to cover it, but I'd expect that's a non issue if you can build a chopper.
