Any local 75 iron workers on here?
Im gonna be moving to phoenix in the next few months, i was considering putting in for a apprenticeship. How does the union treat you?
Points of any union are a welcomed. Im trying to get a grasp on what to expect.

I ain't an ironworker, maybe try some welding forums in their Off Topic sections?
Lots of metal tradesmen there for obvious reasons.

Not a guy in Local 7 that don't make at least $100,000 per year. The only ones that don't are meth addicts and or drunks.
They have the toughest local and a lawyer on call. Pop tires, vandalize a car of a scab worker crossing the picket line and you'll be home before dinner.
Brotherhood is key there, you'll know awfully soon if you don't fit in. Not gonna be a mystery!

If you're starting from the ground floor,..maybe consider Electricians union as well. Because the skills you learn are widely marketable if you want to do side work or start your own biz. Learning electric is one of those trades where you make bank no matter where you live and regardless of union or non-union.
If I could do it again that's the route I would have gone.
