    Upholstery (foam) question

Is there any kind of foam you guys prefer when upholstering a metal seat pan?
    What kind of thickness?
Do you use 2 different kinds of layers or just one?

I'm sure that there are people here that can give you good info ...
But, seeing no one has stepped up as of yet..

You could give a call to a pro... LePera Enterprises, Inc. (818-767-5110)
Great Folks to deal with... Ask about their "GEL" insert....
Take my 45 and outrun em all ..

go to granger and tell them that you want the black closed cell foam that the AC guys buy. It's half an inch thick. i use this as the base for all my seats.
        hope that this helps.

My old man had a seat done with boat seat foam and material and he's not a big fan. I think he said it was closed cell foam and that's why it didn't get comfortable.

auto insulation look for black closed cell foam padding ,they use to deaden sound in autos. is 1 inch thick, I used 1 layer and found 2 layers could have saved my ass.

1" thickness and stack it if necessary. Do yourself a favor and get it backed with adhesive.
