It sounds like you are describing almost every politician out there.....

I understand what your saying I was a biker in the 70s.... And yes that's the way it was.... But this is 2015 not the 70s.....

Most people/companies today are for themselves..... You know like the 1% at the top.... That's just the way it is....

I don't donate money to shit..... If I see someone that I think is having it hard I'll pay for their meal or pay for their groceries.... I've done it many times.....

That way I know where the money is going.......

That way there is ZERO drama!!!!!!!!

I'm sure there were plenty of bikers in the 70's who were shitbag liars and wouldn't hesitate to stab a "brother" in the back. I saw a few in action firsthand.

People always like to romanticize the past and say "Things were better back in my day". But I doubt there has ever been a shortage of shitbag liars who ride motorcycles. Nothing about riding a motorcycle increases anyone's honesty or integrity. Anybody who wanted to could ride a motorcycle. That doesn't mean they all followed some universal "biker code" and lived like the Knights of the Round Table.

And welcome to the Chop Cult new member. Nice to see that you chose to join up despite all the recent drama and controversy here in the Junk Pile. Or are you a returning member? If so, welcome back .

By the way I got my first Harley a 66 Shovel when you were 4....

I grew up around bikers. My uncle (biker) had a core of tight "brothers", and then there were bikers who were considered "friends and acquaintances" who occasional hung around, and then there were other bikers who were sometimes invited to parties, barbeques, etc, or who just showed up (typically, all were welcome, even strangers).

The "core" knew each other well and could trust each other with their lives, their wallets, and their women.

But I saw a few of the other bikers get the shit beat out of them for screwing another biker on a deal, or stealing something, or hitting on another bikers woman, or cheating at poker, or borrowing money and not paying it back, etc, etc.

Watching bikers get the shit beat out of them for fucking over other bikers was one of the main ways I learned right from wrong growing up. Watching guys get beat almost to death definitely makes an impression.

There are honorable bikers, and there are shitbag bikers, always have been, always will be. Unfortunately virtues like honor and integrity are not now, and have never been required to ride a motorcycle.

All we can do is be selective in the company we keep, and the people we give our money to.

I think you just hit on most people's point. Sure there were shitty people, but wether they thought it was going to catch up to them or not, there were consequences.
Doesn't seem to happen like that anymore.
People pull greedy shit, then when they get called on it, other parties jump in and start calling it drama.

I just love when older dudes think it is some sort of virtue to fill in a larger number in the age box. Good for you homie, I bought a harley when someone else was four two years ago, guess what he is probably six this year. "Biker" is synonymous with piece of shit don't try and even play it off like it was some grandiose bullshit, Typically all the older dudes I have met that still talk like bikers were cool were either A. Scared of them B. Too "Square" to fit in C. Watched SOA and thought it was a documentary. I'm sure you're going to kick my ass or something now......cause disrespect..... *yawn*

I don't take offense at all.... You have your opinion.

But people were different back then at least they were here where I live... Believe it or not....

I always thought SOA was BS from the get go and only watched it 3 times..... So you don't know what your talking about.....

                        But believe what you want.....

Yeah, all you older folks used leaded gasoline* so the crime rates were through the fucking roof, lead poisoning and "different" I guess are interchangeable as adjectives for a generation.

*serious though leaded gas has been tied to all the rioting the baby boomers pulled off in the 60's and 70's. Shit is crazy.
