Hi Zach, Go with Torchs answer.

Mill off the top of the ones you have. It seems to me that the seals are better on htose ones than the preunit, even with a modern conversion.

Nearly there, just the number plate to mount. Then blow it apart for paint and freshen the motor up.Click image for larger version

Yeah, moved my bike when my wife and i separated and it never made it back. Turns out the facilities at my mates place are significantly more conducive to building bikes, as you can see...

So, been a bit between posts. This is the last look before I popped the motor out to freshen it up and modify the oil feed to the rockers.

Just have to re engineer the fender mounts to be stronger then its paint and chrome. Choice!

Another lapse in posting though the frame and other associated cycle parts are painted, the shiny bits are back from the chrome, and the engine has had its freshen up. Next few weeks a re little complicated though odds on that reassembly will be to the point where I am wiring it up and painting the tins.
Not much in the way of photos but here is my "spray booth" with frame etc. Hang 3 plastic tarps up in the carport on a fairly wind free day and away you go. . . . . Click image for larger version

I wanna see a few pics of the rocker oil feed mod! Thinking about doing something myself - copper welding and buttloads of epoxy holds the oil inside but not very pretty.. thinking about sodering some copper brake lines together.

you could just buy a brand new oil line.
properly done the stock way they don't really leak.
