I've had this '84 for over 12 years and I've always wanted to hardtail it. Let's do it! It's ready for a makeover!

I got my sportster 2 months ago and started a thread here but haven't been able to update it since I work away from home. I've only worked on her 2 weekends since then. Should be done by the end of the year and hoping to hard tail her if I can win the giveaway. Would be badass if I did.

The first day I got my sportster 2 months ago. Rode her for about 6 hrs then the tear down began.

That's how it was the next day

Traded my sportster custom tank for a nightster and my cousin started the paint. Finished it last week.

Should be home in November and hoping to put her back together. Still have some other things to change on her as well

This is my 2000 Sportster 1200c. It started out as a mini-bagger from the previous owner this spring and I have been slowly bringing it inline with my personal vision. Current;y Rocking a bilwell seat, vintage paughco tank with some evo mounts added on, chopped down rear fender, some old pipes my ironhead I modified a bit, Zombie Titty bars and Halcraft Satellite. Next up is an 8" over narrow jammer and a jockey shift.

Here's my scoot. Have been thinking about chopping up the rear for hardtail for a while. Would love an easy reason to get it done.

    Default 82 Ironhead

I just picked up a 1982 Ironhead that needs some love! A hardtail is a must have for me. This bike is my only runner right now so I have been putting off the teardown, and this would be the motivation to get me started.

This is my '82 XLS, its my first bike. I have been riding it for around 2 years and it is an absolute blast. I have been messing around with different shock setups and just can't seem to get the kind of look I'm going for with the late Ironhead swing arm frame. The plan was to hard tail it this winter during the rebuild but my wife and I are now expecting our first child in March, so the hard tail is on a bit of a hold until the little guy or gal is situated. A blessing, but also a bit of a snag in the chopper plans. You can follow along on my journey of a budget chopper build here: http://www.chopcult.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4394. Input is always appreciated!

    Thanks!

This is my '96 sporty. It's been a work in progress since I bought it. I have lots of plans for this thing but it all starts with the hardtail!! I plan to swap out the front end, change the tank to a 70's style AMF and raise it, powercoat the wheels, paint a rear fender, swap out the bars, seat, etc etc etc.

Here's my 2003 sportster in road trip mode and its daily mode. Both however are incomplete without a hard tail.
