Yeah, there was a thread a month or two ago. His head skipped off the pavement. The biltwell was skinned up bad, but worked. It seemed to do its job for that type of crash. If he would have landed straight on his head, things may have been different.

Hey shathead, the blue helmet on the bottom shelf on the left. Does the bottom kinda flare out a little bit? I have one that does, i call it my German Fonzie lid.
It sure does. Very unique shaped lid!

So is anyone making vintage style full-face helmets again/yet? Like these:

Yeah, haha, I realized that after posting! Doh. But those are pretty prohibitively expensive. Kinda looking for domestic offerings...

I was wondering something similar, except my thought was: yeah you might get lucky and not rub your face across the pavement, but if you did the novelty or hustler aren't going to do much. So is the hustler really that much better other than it is legal and will provide head protection?

    Default My first helmet refurb...

Found this at a swap, and with some help from wifey, relined it and cleaned it up... I think it is a Bel Aire from around '73 or so.

    Default Biltwell vs Loser Machine

Hey guys sorry if Iím repeating something that is already in this thread. I tried searching but I couldn't find anything....Iím sure Iím doing something wrong.

Has anyone ever used one of the Loser Machine Knucklehead helmets? Are they anymore low profile than the Biltwell helmets? I have a novelty Biltwell now but since I'm a small guy it still looks a bit big on me. Thoughts anyone?
