    I guess my bike qualifies as a norcal style bike? Stock rake 8 over tubes just missing out on the chrome and paint haha

      That wasnt as common back in the day. A lot of sketchy ass bikes out there had extensions that threaded into the top of your existing tube and effectively lengthened the entire tube. The extension would be clamped into the top tree and the lower tube was clamped into the lower tree.

              tobiism...I believe those type of fork "extenders" were called slugs. They were sold as a cheap,easy way to extend your forks.

                          A 57XL I had in the early 70s (think this Polaroid is from 1973)we called them Frisco style then. A 67 CID stroker, with PB+ cams, XLR valves, Dykes 2 ring pistons,13 to 1 compression a Fairbanks and a fuckin Tillotson made it an evil bastard. It only broke my leg once.
