    "oil cooler"

Has anyone seen these cheap "oil filter/cooler covers." They're basically an aluminum heat sink that slides over your filter and supposedly turn it into a small oil cooler. They're available on ebay for about $10 right now. Does anyone think they'd cool the oil enough to even make a difference? Even a few degrees might be worth $10.

It will work but you'll need it to be a super tight fit and you should have a heat-transfer paste in there as well, like the Dow Corning stuff.

If you don't it'll just be another useless tacky bit of anodised goodness.
