1990 sportster forward controls help

Hey guys,
Last night I installed a set of Harley brand forwards on my 90 883 sporty.
The kit came with an extra bolt to replace the peg mount, which is through the sprocket cover.
And on the primary side, the bolt that held my peg before goes through the primary, but there was nothing that came with it to go in its place.
My questions are: how do I remove the sprocket cover with the brake master mounted to it, etc.
And what do I do with the large bolt conspicuously sticking out of my primary?

first question- just unbolt it, it's pretty straight forward

second question- install nut of your choice on it, I used an acorn nut

what are you doing with your mids? if you're selling them, how much?

The forwards came with a bolt on the sprocket cover side, and I've already done that. Just trying to find a fix for the primary side now. May try an acorn nut if I leave it in. Thanks!
