Thanks man. Got it fired up now but having trouble keeping it running. went up 2 sizes on the main and pilot jets. will rev about twice and then die and I cant keep it going. The water pumps on these things arent electric are they? super bummed out having to keep all the ugly plumbing on it..

I just cut the swingarm so i could use the stock axle housing, not pretty I know but is it functional? Also the welds are better than they look I promise.

I tore it back apart because I finally looked into the oil leak that the PO had told me about.. When i bought the bike i decided it wasnt going to be a big deal
so I went ahead and built around it, took it for one ride around the block and i had oil slung up all over my back. Yes it was that bad. So I finally looked up under there and found a big ole glob of my favorite, jb weld. Looks like the case snapped off where the oil filter mates... fuck.

Well how did the build turn out? I have one an 84 VT700 project and I like what you did with yours. Any updates?

Yeah I hope this turned out and the guy forgot to keep posting, because that was a sweet looking project, especially considering the complicated-ass donor bike.

Also love the square in the background and want to see more of that

ID:	1351067 Last December 2022 I bought an '84 Honda VT-700C and from this forum article I got ideas for what I wanted to do with my project. ... Fast forward to December 2023 .. I've got it finished enough to take for a backyard ride. It still has no brakes so no rode riding. He's pictures of when I bought it and some of the work I did last year, then the finish up work this week.
I still have running lights, license plate, brake lights, clutch & brake lines, upholster the seat ... ya know, lots of stuff.
