    Are choppers popular?

In the real world? The Internet made me believe choppers are trendy and everywhere and over saturated.
I just came back from 2 week vacation in California, drove nearly 1500 miles LA/VEGAS/SANFRAN etc and I saw 2 'high end' choppers parked up outside the Chinese theatre, and two 'proper' choppers outside a tattoo studio.
    And that's it.
How often do you see choppers in the wild?

Or am I just fucking blind?

In SoCal I see them more than you would somewhere else, but it's still like, 1 in 50.

I'm from Iowa but I travel around quite a bit in this area. I think I've only seen four choppers (maybe?) in the city i'm from and there's a solid 200k people there. The rest are usually just passing through on the interstate. I'd go as far as to say they are rather uncool around here.

I have ridden a lot and kept my eyes open and I have seen less than a handful of Big Dog types, and I have only seen 2 'proper choppers' so far this season.

The internet made me believe they were everywhere, choppers on every block. Ha ha.

Some of it might be, too, the crowd you run in. No one in my crowd has one. Sadly. I am trying to change my crowd though, and hopefully I will start seeing more choppers.

I see quite a few in Minneapolis cruising around. I'd say they are semi popular.
I'm trying to get them to gather once a week here..

finny what city in iowa is that big? I don't get down there too often...

Here in DFW they're a rare sight. After a few years it seems like you end up knowing personally or knowing of anyone w a cool chop in this city.

Come to VA, there's a "custom bought" chopper on every damn corner around here, I see at least 5-6 every time I ride. Home brew chops are a much rarer sight, however.

They are with me. I seek out the shizz I love though. I don't see many on the road, however. I'm an old fart with 3 kids, so I ain't out at the witching hour.

Well thank God that they aren't to 'popular' otherwise everybody would want one so as to stay with being cool and trendy.

Choppers aren't even popular here, let alone the real world. Take a look at my recent panhead build thread in the American section.

You know where choppers are popular? Instagramzz.

I actually commented on your build a little while ago. Typically build threads with some actual "Build" in them get more action than just a pic of the semi completed bike.
