I have an 80 ironhead with some 13 spoke mags from a 2006 sporty. I'm looking for some guidance to getting this chassis to a roller.
Here's the problems I have:
1. Isolators? These little rubber triangles have been the source of minutes overages (figuratively, who even still has minutes?), and my name being placed on several parts shops "blacklist". Do I even need them?
2. Rear Brake - Not running a front, just a rear brake. I have one from a CBR and a simple bracket fabbed up. I'd like to get some opinions on how to get this sucker mounted so I have some sort of stopping power. NOTE - I'm also running a 530 chain conversion.
3. Spacers - don't have them, need them badly. Neither axles have spacers so this thing is incredibly hard to move. Im looking from some places, locally or online, that can get some cut up for me. I'm also not 100% sure on how to get them measured up. I have an idea, but some expertise would be greatly appreciated.
Now for the pics. I have a couple generic pics, I'll post some images of the wheels, axles and brake components tomorrow when I have some light.
Thanks for looking!
Thanks for your help!
