Forward controls gone... making the change to footboards. Headlight wiring complete, a little clean-up left on remaining wires. FXST length fork tubes installed, rubber gaiters installed, front fender installed, almost time for more road test.

Softail Bobber is back on the road again... time for more tests. Progress so far: more ground clearance = Jiffy Stand doesn't drag, wiring clean-up = no magic smoke escaped, footboards = comfort for my 14's.

Looking good. I prefer foot boards and have them on three of my five bikes. I use the Fab Kevin adapter plates for the 2000 up softail brackets. The're available at almost all the swap meets and are pretty cheap. I especially like foot boards on my rigid as it allows me to brace for the big bumps a little better.

End of Summer... still T-shirt weather in North Florida, I just don't sweat while riding.

FWIW, I think it sits a lot better with the longer fork tubes, nice job.

Thanks... I'm pleased with ride and handling with the longer fork tubes.

Brembo calipers milled and mounted... salvaged brake lines, to be replaced at a later date.

Saturday ride (14 November 2015) to Gibson Park @ Suwannee River... great North Florida riding weather. (68f / 20c)

No, I love being able to take my time and read a completed build thread start to finish...one of the benefits from being a latecomer to the site. Very nice build.

Thanks saorsa, I don't think this project will ever be finished, but it's definitely on the road. Plenty to do/change, nothing that keeps me from riding.
