4 months ago I traded my twin cam Dyna for this 96 Heritage....straight swap. I was watching C-list everyday hoping for someone looking to trade an evo for a Dyna. I wasn't too concerned with what they were offering, I just wanted to be rid of that twinkie.

Spent no real money other than new tires.

Anybody have pics of a narrowed softail rear end?
I ask because I am about to embark on that journey.
I've got a fat tire style hardtail frame that I was going to narrow up anyway, and now have two softail swingarms and a set of ST shocks to mess with.
Cut the axle plates out of the one swingarm when I was hard tailing a triumph once upon a time. Gonna use the side plates and shock mount from it for the frame.
Obviously gotta have chain and brake clearance. Then there is the width of the shocks...

just did this over the weekend

broke three spokes on my rear wheel and don't want to pay for repair or buy another spoke wheel (got another future idea), so I got a fatboy wheel fairly cheap to get it back on the road. also was running around with the big classic front fender, but no rear so it looked lopsided. it makes it too much of a fair weather bike for me though (and it's not the final plan anyway), so eventually i'll put them back on.

This is my current rider,. Soon to have a new tank, paint and seat again.
I've recently stuck the 4" over tubes and bar risers on. Not old-school I know but definitely does the job. Click image for larger version.

One I found browsing the web. Love the Superglide style trimmed fender. Much more aesthetically pleasing to me compared to the oem style Softail/Wide Glide fender. Very clean look.

Damn, makes me want to buy an Evo Softail. My Shovelhead Low Rider serves me well tho
