Default tricks for splitting cases on a 62 triumph pre unit engine

Hello, anybody have some advice for me? I'm trying to split the cases on my 62 triumph engine I can get them about 1/4" apart and doesn't want to budge. I read that I can take left case off with crank and timing gears on . everywhere I llook says case should pop off. Thought about using a puller on primary bolts ? Any advice , thanks Ken.

Ken, you need to do a lot more reading.

there is no reason to ever split the cases if you don't remove the pinion nut on the crank and the cam wheel gears.
if you don't do that you can't clean the sludge tube or replace the main bearing, cam bearings or cams. so why even split it?

you need special tools and do some more homework before you damage that engine.
