Thanks. I guess everybody else is near finished, I'm just now working on the front top shock mount and linkage system (will use 12mm rod end shackles to pull on stock GSXR rear link). Its all gonna pack in behind the front tire / in front of engine as one dense clusterfuck of moving parts, bolts, and messy welds.

Default Kustom Research Cafe Racer Update

Still going strong on this cafe build. Since the last update, I've managed to make a new seat, and license plate mount. I made my own tail light and turn signals machining them from billet aluminum, and added them to the bike with my own mounts. I made a mount for the digital KOSO gauge, switched gas tanks to a later model, upgraded to new billet shocks, and got the bike out on the road. Cristin has been putting miles in on the bike, working out the bugs and getting used to riding again. Lots more fabrication still to go, the thrash will continue through August.

Just a quick update, Finally got the bike off the lift last weekend and got a rolling chassis going. Long way to go but I'm liking the stance and lines so far. Next up is going to start to weld up some stainless guards then a full stainless exhaust with a couple cone engineering mufflers.

Stay tuned for more updates, Big thanks to Bear and Old Bike Barn for all the support, All the sponsors have been killer !!!! Built not Bought Greasy Dozen Builder Collective !!!

Still working on my BNR belt drive issue but I'm pretty much done and will just need to tweak and tune.

Looks like i won't be up all night alone.

just got the seat pan squared away and ready for its new skin.

The oil tank/cowl isn't nailed down yet, so hopefully that gap between the seat and tank will look a little cleaner when it is.

current thoughts on seat color, is a light chestnut.

Hey Guys I got a ways to go to, but making progress slow and steady... Stainless cages built under the seat to clean up the rear section a bit. Next up building a full 304 stainless exhaust system complete with Cone Engineering exhaust mufflers.

Lots of long nights and weekends ahead !!

    Cheers Greasy Dozen
