    De-Raked sportster build

Started as a gross stock 100th Anniversary. Then did the whole "i wanna chopper but I still want shocks thing". The I went to chopper town with the Haifley Bros hardtial kit (best hardtail around if you ask me). Now Ive decided to take it a further. On a whim I just cut the neck off the thing and we started going to town on it.

This is how its sitting now. Ive gotta bend some more tube and notch everything then the frame will be back together. Im wanting to run dual sportbike brakes if i can find a right leg with tabs. Sportbike hand controls with 7/8 bars. New exhaust, possibly some pie cut stainless pipes. More than likely keeping the k&q but Ill make the final call on that once its rollin again.

Awesome. Did you keep the same neck tube? What angle are you going with in the neck?

The neck is going to be 28 degrees. And yeah its the stock neck. Huge pain in the ass to cut it out of all the gusseting the factory uses but worth it to keep the vin.

Waiting on some tube to finish the frame and decided to pull the cam cover to I can cut it down. Pulled a cam out on accident too. Whoops.

Proper De Rake job so far, looking very St Louis like!

Thanks dudes. Can't wait to have it on its wheels.

The seat is from haifley bros.

Got the cam cover pretty much done tonight. I started bead blasting it as you can kind of see in the right side. Gonna do the the rocker covers and primary cover too. Tube should be here early next week so I can get the frame back together.

Sure am glad this is done. Got the rockers done today too. Next up is the primary.

When you first hardtailed your bike, looks like you went from 10" slammers to the haifley kit. I was just wondering what stretch/drop you chose and if it sits similar to the height of the slammer shocks?
