Can we talk music, more specifically death metal?
I start with my favorite list, not all to to every bodies taste I am sure.
Vader
Deicide
Cannibal Corpse
Decapitated
Aborted
Bloodbath
Suffocation
Napalm Death (not exactly Death but meh)
Cattle Decapitation
And of course - Dying fetus
I probably forgot a lot of my favorites, my memory was never the best especially with names so I always just listen anything, I also never hate on a specific music direction, don't care if its death, black, gore or grind, they all have awesome and not so awesome bands.

Flirted with death metal in the early 90s. I know they don't really inhabit this genre but I still listen to the band that started me down that road, the mighty SLAYER!

I haven't kept up past the early '90s but still love me some:
Death
Carcass(up through Necroticism)
Obituary
Napalm Death(up through Utopia Banished)
Unleashed
Pungent Stench
Autopsy(don't care for the reunion stuff, though)
Tons of other stuff.
I really like the early '90s British death/doom stuff like My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost and Anathema. None of them were too good after the early '90s, though.

A friend put me on to Ghost a while back, and now I spin their LPs a lot. More black metal than death I spose, but a nice break from all the Cookie Monster stuff. Them Gorgoroth guys are just too darn upset about things. And Varg is a dipshit

Death Metal would be great if the music didn't suck so bad

Isn't one music thread enough? We already got the "What Are You Listening To Right Now" thread. Why not just post this shit there & say, "I'm listening to Death Metal", and then instead of just naming all the fucking bands, actually post up content of their shit?

i gave up on trying to claim a genre because stupid fucks always have to split pubes and be like "that is classical brutal grunge thrash bro". If its heavy and you like it, who gives a fuck, i was the "i only listen to the most brootal metal, i am 2brootal4u" guy for awhile..... but whats the fucking point? Music is supposed to elicit emotions and feelings, if it rustles your jimmies in the right way, go for it.
that being said
Dying fetus, napalm death, veil of maya, and the black dahlia murder are probably some of my favorites.

Debauchery which is a German death metal isn't all too good with most of their songs but their Slayer cover of Angel of death is fucking solid!

Also, if anybody is interested in German WW2 inspired Death metal (Swedish band and not Nazis) try out Panzerchrist
Here is the full album on youtube
