Has anyone here had any experience on running ceramic ball with steel race bearings? I'm thinking about them for wheel bearings, transmission bearings, supercharger bearings and the alternator bearings. Not gonna run them on the mains in this incarnation. They are pricey as hell but supposed to turn easier and last longer.

A lot of the pavement LSR guys run them and claim a 3-5 mph gain. I don't run them because I am always spending my money on something else. At some point I would like to though. Talk to Greg Neal or Ralphie Navarro, they both run them and swear by them

Here is Gregs web site http://tlnmotorsports.com/

I have Ralphies phone number around here somewhere

Both are on FB also. Guy Caputo might be another one to talk to, he owns Tiger Racing Products.

Yeah I saw it but when I'm told that there is only one place that knows anything and I should only shop there I get nervous and check around.

I would invest in a new rule book if you haven't already as they have changed the maximum bore size allowed in the vintage class. If you are already aware of this then please disregard.

Will do! What is the new max overbore? It was .050, And I bought 1 cylinder that probably won't clean up at less than .040.

A .050 in. overbore is allowed on vintage engines only (including production vintage) ONLY IF THE OEM BORE DIAMETER IS WITHIN .050 in. (.508 mm) OF MAXIMUM CLASS DISPLACEMENT and will be discounted when the bore size is measured. Flathead engine displacement will be discounted 33 1/3% in determining engine displacement class limits. For example, a 1500cc measured displacement would run as a 1000cc.
New rule in capitals, I don't know if they have made any changes for 2015

After I got the free carb from S&S I was feeling high as a kite so I wrote a begging for parts letter to Todd at Jerry Greer's Indian Engineering. Low and behold Shauna sent me one of their excellent clutch kits.
