Way to go brother! Biggest mistake I ever made was getting out. THe wife, first wife that is, couldn't take the postings and wanted out.

In 38 and a wake up I will be a retired man of leisure. Until then I continue to manage an Operations group.

Attorney. I graduated law school at 44 years old and have been practicing law (patent litigator) for five years.

Before that I was a cop, a truck driver, a mortgage broker, an infantry officer, a tree climber, a private military contractor, a farmer, and a dishwasher.

As my wife puts it, it was time to stop playing Indiana Jones and make some money.

I started my retirement a few months ago. Already my house is trying to suck my bank account dry. Spending 16K on replacing the roof's concrete shingles. Now that I've got that scheduled, I need a new $3500. AC! Got rid of my Ford Explorer with 271K miles(work truck), sold my carpentry tools, and keeping the Shovel, naturally. Get to play with my HO scale train layout when I'm not on the bike. Seems like a plan.

Enjoy, Bill! I got a short way to go. Planning to move to the coast when I do. No more icy winter roads, and clean air.
Will thin out the bikes, probably not the Train collection!

My staff is scattered around the U.S. and the world and they all know I ride an old Harley. So instead of a gold watch they each went to their local Harley shop and got me a T-shirt with their home city on it. That way when I ride I will think of them! I have to wait a while for the ones from the U.K. and India as the shops there have been closed for a while now.

Looks like I will not be needing new T's for a while, lol.
