Since all the pictures in the original thread are gone anyways, I thought I could as well start a new one.
I started ripping a '79 XS 400 apart in 2010, aiming for a bratstyle-like build but somehow went another route. Since the XS 400 is pretty short, it feels almost like a BMX.
Since then, I've done a bit every now and then while fixing up a XJ 550 daily rider, setting up an old garage as a new workshop and learning how to do stuff (welding, wiring etc).
Right now I'm at a point where it start's to look like a motorcycle again.
Can't hardtail it or alter the frame too much due to german law. Bike has to stay street legal.
The tank is welded by a friend of mine, I wouldn't be able to do a leak-proof welding seam on a tank.
