Got the brass in and got a half ass polish on it for now, do the other one tomorrow.
Should have everything ready to go as soon as my material is in at least.

Grabbed some plate and solid stock and cut a neck gusset to get the same brass inlay, and the axle plate. Got some welding and smoothing to do, but they'll be ready to go on the jig after the weekend, still waiting on tube anyways.

Is it wrong to get a boner looking at fabricated chunks of metal?:/... Really though, I envy your simplistic approach, kinda takes blacksmith and modern technology and melds it together... very cool indeed.

Some of this might seem a little repetitive, but Its all I've got at the moment...........And I need to feel like I'm accomplishing something.
Wanted to get my axle plates done.
Had to remind myself how to TIG weld, and then enlisted some help to hand blend them. Got a little more filling and sanding to do, but they Should be all pre-polished and ready for next weekend when I have my tube.

                          Thanks dude.
I think it only rains when I'm not working........Cause every time I cut out of work early because the skies clear and I want to go for a ride, it pours by the time I'm home.

I cant wait to start bending tube, these little pieces are killing me. Think I've got about 10 hours in 1 of the axle plates, and likely about 20 hours in the stuff for the neck. And when I'm done most people will have no clue how long it took........I will at least.

Digg the craftsmanship man, don't worry about the time it's the end result that counts.

Dont get me wrong, I'll put in whatever time it takes, I'm just a little ADD so when I'm working on the tedious stuff, I tend to get a little discouraged......
Really trying to put a ton of attention to detail into this one though, so as long as I can see the payoff I'll keep it up.
