Default 1949 Panhead build, 60's style chop

Im terrible at doing an actual build thread, however Im pretty decent at finishing a bike and then uploading the whole process of the build, skipping important HOW TO opportunities and major leaps in the actual build progress. Hope you guys atleast enjoy the pics.

about a year and a half ago I Got a pretty terrible frame for $500 that needed some serious attention. I got in touch with Bobby from KingKustoms down in Chicago, Hes super talented, and ended up being the nicest dude around. (if your in the chicago area, check him out)

I picked up an OG 47/48 Offset springer from and old grey bearded friend of mine, (who I ended up getting my motor from)

Had the motor rebuilt by BT motorbikes in Dousman WI

The only good thing about the long winters in WI is you have plenty of time to work on ur bike.
got some fab stuff done, cleaned up some stuff on the frame.
made a sissy bar out of stainless
(yeah this is the part where I skip a bunch of steps)

    fast forward till spring..

the bike was together for about a day before I tore it all down for paint.

My friend Daryl is incredibly talented. It meant alot for a friend to paint my tank, vs a strainger.

    The day I finished it

Yeah I like the pad up against my lower back. These frames are too small for 2 people.

Looks super clean man. I dig it. I noticed you swapped out the high tunnel wassel for the frisco one. I thought the high tunnel looked cleaner on there. Just my opinion.

You nailed it though, I love it

Man, I like this a lot. I'm glad marbled paint is making a come back. What are you doing for pegs and peg mounts?
