Congrats! Its cool to see that list and know a few guys on it. Jake Keough and his brother are super rad dudes. Not lame on the USB post, if you're gonna ride it, having a charger is GREAT. Should be a fun bunch of bikes to see when they are all done.Comment

Awesome.
You won't be lame when you're the only one with a charged up phone. I have a Battery Tender USB on mine and keep an iPhone cable in my jacket in case I ever need it. I actually use my phone a lot while riding and use the navigation w/ ear buds. We like to queue up odd/new routes on Google maps and go. I also use an app for tracking my miles on most rides (was using it religiously during motor break-in). Anything GPS related that is constantly tracking your movement will drain your phone battery quickly.

No headphone GPS but seems like I'm constantly looking up where I'm going or where I'm at on longer trips. Phone is usually about dead by the first morning. With no battery it'll only turn on when the bike is running though. Gonna have the inside of the pouch nicely padded with a velvet wrap.Comment

Well, even with mine I dare never plug it in w/o the bike running and that tiny 4-cell. I also have an antigravity microcell which can charge your phone. Comes in super handy too when you're camping in the woods w/ 1 bar of cell service and your phone is constantly searching for a stronger signal (or none at all) and killing that phone battery.
Still gonna run some mid controls through a tin primary?Comment

Seat pan finished up. There's a cut out underneath to remove the USB if it goes bad or technology changes. At the same time I bought the USB thing I got a digital volt meter too. I was planning on putting both in but didn't have room. Has a spot for internal wiring that comes out right above the oil tank.

Thanks guys. Made up one side peg mount. I won some really awesome pegs from gorilla fab that I planned on using for this bike, but with how tight I'm putting the pegs they're just not going to work(they have a tall kick up on the end), possibly use em as passenger pegs.
Got a few stainless exhaust bends and straight tubing in the mail. I've never rippled stainless before so gave it a try. Won't be a lot of rippling on the exhaust, possibly just the 2 right out of the heads
And started on the tank. Using a throttle addictin narrow sporty shell and making the bottom. Rolled a piece of 1.75 tubing and split it to match the curve of the backbone. Got the mount idea from @darrylrotten (on IG (who's also going to be painting this)) pretty much hidden mounts and should be stronger than tab mounts. The piece in my hand is threaded inside and will be welded into the tunnel. Bolts run from the bottom up.

Good stuff man. I like how the tank bung sits in the sleeve through the frame. Is the sleeve countersunk/stepped for a socket cap screw?
I did some hidden mounts on my first build 10yrs ago. It was just a bungs in the tank and sat on top of the frame. The sleeve was just the width of the bolt. I like the design you used better, definitely more sturdy.Comment
