    Default Flh apes option

Looking to put some 14-16" apes on my FLH. Which do you guys recommend? I am tossing around the idea of relocating the switches so the cleaner/smoother look the better. My top picks currently are pauchco straight apes or zombie's 8 bit apes. Id prefer 1.25 dia but that's not a deal breaker. Chrome finish.

I liked the Biltwell 12" apes on my FLH. Not too tall not too short, just narrow enough. No switches on my bars, hi/low on headlight cowell, start button on upper motor mount, kinda hidden. No signals, no horn.

I found a nice low pro master cylinder without switch pods on ebay for like $40, just before I sold this shovel. I had the clutch side done in the pics, was gonna be my next purchase for this bike.

I run 12" - 1" Diameter Apes. I dont remember the brand but they are almost identical to the Biltwells. I think anything over the 12" mark or going with the 1.25" Diameter starts to push the flh's into a different style.

Hey man. Love what u did to your flh. I got a question about your front wheel. Is it a 21x3.5 rim with a 120/70/21 tire? If so where did u pick up a wheel to fit the front end? Any modifications that need to be done to fit it? Thanks nick

I recommend the Zombies man. The customer service is top notch, and his bars are the shit.

I prefer 1" apes but 1.25's are ok on FL's with the big fat front end.
Height kinda depends on how tall you are. I got 16's on my bike and
I'm 6'2" so 16" bars are pretty comfortable, handles easy and doesn't look stupid.
If you are shorter you might want shorter bars.

20" apes - looks cool sitting there till you try to ride the fucker:

I say, get the fat 16" bars if that's what you want. You can get used to just about any bars so
don't worry if it feels weird at first.

This dumbass probably got used to these bars before he was splattered on a road somewhere:

zombies are great but if you can deal with under 14" the biltwell already come electroplated black so i know other people offer to powder coat them but for $99, the biltwells are awesome. now if it is in your budget i like the Carlini gansta apes but they are $350? give or take but are offered in 1.25 and 1.5.
