What might be causing this White Smoke ?
Any experience heavy white smoke on acceleration? I'm running an S&S 124 at sea level, jetted right. I changed the PCV, made sure it has a heavy flow filter but I have a feeling it could be internal, valve guides, rings. Any help would be appreciated.

White smoke typically is related to water or condensation. Not exactly sure why your problem could be though. Maybe it's more blue then white??
Blue smoke would be oil and black is gas. Could be oil burning through the rings.

Leak down test it is... Maybe this weekend... The white smoke doesn't happen all the time. Only when I really get on it usually from a stop. It's intermittent when it happens but when it smokes everyone in the zip code knows it. Very irritating! I'll pull plugs and get some shots as well. Thanks for the input - much appreciated!

Sounds like valve guides, loads up when idling.

I have a Honda ATC that smokes whiteish like a bitch when I fire it up, but cleans up while riding, only to come back if I let it idle for awhile. The smoke looks pretty white, but has a blueish tinge. So its possible yours is oil smoke too, does the smoke smell like burning oil? If you let it idle does it start to smoke at all? Smoke on startup?

My buell did that on acceleration from a stop, out of one pipe. Was the exhaust valve guide.
